Investing in the Transition to Net Zero

Investors are now playing a critical role in driving climate action. Market practice is evolving rapidly. Delivering on the promise of net zero by 2050 is key, as focus turns to driving implementation and real-world outcomes by 2030 through shareholder engagement, investment, risk management and disclosure.

The climate policy landscape has shifted dramatically in recent years, with the ambitious climate goals announced by the Biden Administration earlier in 2021, enabling policies from China, Japan and South Korea, along with ratified commitments to net zero and outcomes from the COP26 Presidency of the UK, expectations for delivering on the promise of the Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5ºC are intensifying.

For Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific, the financial risks for business and investors are acute and government and financial regulators will continue to re-shape investor practice.

Against this backdrop of heightened urgency, a changed policy landscape and more investor action on climate, IGCC will bring together leading experts, corporate leaders and market practitioners to unpack and discuss the latest and next generation of investor practice on climate change.
