AIGCC CEO / CIO Roundtable

AIGCC convened the inaugural CEO/CIO Asset Owner Roundtable in September 2017. This forum is the flagship event for AIGCC, bringing asset owners from Asia and internationally together in a forum of peer to peer sharing of knowledge and information. This assists in providing guidance and information developed by global investor peers on the benefits of integrating climate change risks and opportunities into their investment policies and processes.

The aim of the 2018 event is to build on the knowledge developed in the previous years’ Roundtable, where the impact of climate risk for investors in Asia was discussed. It also aims to develop a deeper understanding of where climate implications can fit within ESG policy and management frameworks and how they could be applied for investors in the region.

Climate Action 100+

Climate Action 100+ was launched by five investor organisations in Paris at the One Planet Summit 12 December 2017, hosted by President Macron, with 225 investors with $26 trillion in assets under management. Climate Action 100+ is now backed by 296 investors with nearly $31 trillion in assets under management, mobilising across 29 countries.

This new five-year project harnesses the weight and influence of global investors to engage the worlds largest greenhouse gas emitting companies on climate action.

The Low Carbon Registry

Low Carbon Investment (LCI) Registry is the first public, online database showing examples of global low carbon investments made by institutional investors.

The Global Investor Coalition on Climate Change groups created the LCI Registry in response to rapidly increasing interest by policy makers, investors and their beneficial members in the nature of low carbon investments by institutional investors such as pension funds and asset managers (Investors) and the rationale for such investments.

The LCI Registry and the Analysis Report was launched ahead of the UN Climate Summit in New York, September 2014.
